This Month Kayla just decided to start calling us by our first names! "Rateyull and Danall" it was especially funny when she'd wake up from a nap and would demand for our attention. "RATEYULL... DANALL... WHAT ARE YOU DOINGK??" Hehe funny little thing! I guess she just picked up on us using each other's names because we often call out for the other's attention! haha.

She was quite the little bossy boots this month too - demanding for all sorts especially anything she saw on TV. She's a lot like me when it comes to being a sucker for advertising of treats and junk food! As soon as there is an ad for ice cream or cake we have to change the channel fast before she notices! Otherwise she'll lead me to the fridge and demand that I give her some (even though we don't have any!) And she wont give up either - she'll chuck a tanty and stomp her feet... but we refuse to let her boss us around so she just has to suck it up! lol

Even Dora the Explorer and other cartoons advertise all sorts of junk... drives me mad! One day Dora was on a mission to get some ice cream... so Kayla went on her own mission to get some too! She screamed until she was blue in the face demanding I give her some... but eventually she just settled for some frozen yogurt with a picture of Dora on it! hehe

She's also testing her power out and doing cheeky little things to show us she's boss. Like if she's listening to her Wiggles songs and I start to sing along she'll cover my mouth and say "No no no no no!" I'm not allowed to sing anymore... cheeky little monkey! And she sure likes to pick on Dan - she will offer to share something with him and then snatch it away as he tries to take it. She'll even set up a chair for him and tell him to sit next to her - but as soon as he goes to sit down she will quickly move across and say "No no no no no!" Cheeky I tell ya!

Speaking of Wiggles song - she can sing Twinkle Twinkle little star perfectly now! She just wants to hear The Wiggles music all the time and will even make Nanny play it in the car when they go for drives. It's very cute though - she'll groove in the back to the music and sing along like a little star. I will have to get a video of it. She can sing other songs too but not as well as Twinkle star yet. =)

But when she's not being bossy she's actually really lovely and affectionate - especially to other children. She just adores other kids and will happily walk up to any child and give them a big hug and a kiss. She likes to do this weird thing too where she presses her head up against other peoples foreheads... it's almost like she is doing the Hongi - it is so funny but we have no idea where it came from. It's cute though - she uses it as a sign of affection. Nanny and Granma have been taking her to Freckles fun factory and Lollypops which has been great for her. She interacts with other children and absolutely loves it.

This Month she went to little Miss Scarlett's first Birthday too. Unfortunately I couldn't make it because I was in hospital... but Nanny took her along and she had a blast.

She just adores babies which is great because I am confident that she will be a great big Sissy to her new little Sibling to come. =) Can't wait!!

TWENTY ONE MONTHS OLD!

She's getting lazy with her Bear shots! hehe!

Not a whole lot to report this month - but she continues to get cheekier as time goes on, lots of fun to be around and so full of energy I can barely keep up! She is getting better with her talking too - speaking more in sentences now and beginning to ask questions. Her most asked questions lately are "What are you doing?" "What's that?" "Where's it gone?" and "Who is that?" Wont be long now until she starts with the Why?'s! hehe... Actually no - her most asked questions are actually "Icecream?" "Biccie?" "Chippies?" and "Foggies?" (frog lollies that Nanny gives her lol.) Nanny and Poppy give her treats when they have her - like any Granparents would - so she doesn't look forward to coming home because Mummy and Dada are not so generous haha!

Other than that her new saying this Month was "OH GOD!" I have no idea where she picked that up from but she said it all the time and heck it was funny! She'd say it after she'd giggle her head off at something, she'd say it when she'd drop something and she'd say it when Dan and I would kiss and cuddle. Almost like she was telling us to get a room! So funny.... had to be there.

She's a laugh and a half and loves to tickle us. She pins us down and tickles our sides and under our chins while excitedly yelling TICKLE TICKLE TICKLE with a high pitch squeal - it is so hilarious!

This Month we celebrated Fathers Day and had a nice dinner at Nanny and Poppy's. Kayla gave her Dada a little painting that she made which was very cute. She knew it was a gift for him too because as soon as he arrived (he was running late because of work) she headed straight over to hand it to him.

We bought her a toddler bed this month because it was coming to a point where her thunder thighs would get caught in between the bars! *Giggles* So we thought it was time for an upgrade. But she is really struggling to let go of her cot - even to the point where she would break into it! We'd put her down to sleep in her toddler bed and leave her to sleep - only to return to check on her to find her fast asleep in her cot! The cheeky thing somehow managed to climb into it! Which was becoming quite dangerous - so we are taking our time and letting her go at her own pace.

One night I was missing Kayla so much that when I went to bed - I stole her from her cot for cuddles while she was sleeping and put her in my bed with me for snuggles. About 20 minutes later - she woke up and was very stroppy with me - demanding that I put her back in her cot!! Ha! I would have thought it would be the other way around - wanting any chance she could get to be out of her cot! She bloody loves that thing! =)

Anyways - that's all to report for this Month... but in other news - for those who may not know already, Dan and I found out that we are having another baby!! =) We are over the moon and super excited that Kayla is soon to be a big Sis! =)

But what's really weird is on the morning before I did my test... Kayla came up to me, kissed and hugged my tummy and said "Awww Bubba!" So that was when I thought I'd better do a test and sure enough she was right. =) I swear children must know things things!!

This by far has been my favourite Month so far! Bubette is just so much fun to be around - she always has been but even more so now. I think because her communication is getting better and better - she spends less time being frustrated with us not being able to understand what she is trying to say - and more time having fun because we understand her needs and wants. She's stringing words together now and making short sentences, and even though she still may use the occasional random word in her own language - I understand exactly what she is saying. There is barely a time now that I will not understand what she is trying to say - unless of course she gets lazy and just says "Uh? Uh? Uh?" which she tends to do sometimes.

One day when I put her down for her nap she asked for her dolly... and when I handed it to her she says to me "Aww Thanks darlin wadda good girl!" then rolled over to go to sleep. I had to leave the room to laugh my head off - it was so funny! She adores her dollys - she just will not sleep without them and lately she will make me give them kisses too before she goes to sleep. One night she was so upset and just would not settle - each time I went in there she would say "Kisss??" So I would try to kiss her again but she would get even more irritated - I could not for the life of me figure out what was wrong with her. Finally I turned the light on and asked her why she was so upset - she sobbed as she held her dolly up and said "Kiss?" I then realised that she wanted me to kiss her dolly and as soon as I did she giggled and rolled over to finally sleep! hehe So now I make sure I do every time.

And when she is not chatting away she is pointing at almost every object she can see and announcing what it is called. She has learnt so many new words I can not even keep up with it - and her memory absolutely amazes me! I just have to mention something once and she will remember it days later and from then on - it's stored in her mind.

She loves the sound of her own voice and will test it out almost every minute of the day while she is awake! I actually worry now when she is quiet - because when she is quiet I know she is getting up to mischief! One day when I was in the kitchen making lunch - I noticed she went from singing at the top of her lungs to suddenly very quiet. I knew something was up so I called out "Missy... what are you up to?" I then hear these little running footsteps scatter away and came in to find...

Cheeky little thing found Mummy's lipstick! Heck it was so hard not to laugh!!

She is so funny - like my little partner in crime. Our days are just filled with giggles - playing chasie, hide and seek, tickle monster, dancing and singing, playing silly buggers and all that fun stuff... she brings the big kids out in us - I just love it so much! We just have this special bond and understanding that don't even need words to express. Kayla and I just have to look at each other and it's like we both know what's about to happen next. For example - if Dan lays down on the lounge room floor - Kayla and I will look at each other with a little smirk on our faces... I'll give her a nod and then we'll both go charging towards him and start tickling him on the ground! haha! poor Dan cops it from the both of us - but he loves it really! We gotta be careful though because she can pick up bad habits so easily! One day I playfully slapped Dan on the butt when he walked in the door coming home from work - so now Kayla greets him with a slap on the Butt each time he walks through the door... hehehe! It's cute but we can't have her doing that to strangers now can we!! lol Picking up habits are very easy - but breaking them is very difficult to do.

She just loves being centre of attention and making us laugh. Often she'll pick up one of my singstar microphones and start yapping away into it like she is doing a stand up comedian act. She'll throw her arms up and yell and point and dance to get a laugh out of us and then once she's satisfied she'll throw down the mic and say "Ök.. I'm done!" - so very funny! She'll also sing into the mic and actually play singstar with me. She's getting very good at holding tunes - especially with incy wincy spider and twinkle twinkle little star - she hasn't quite got the words down yet but she has the right tune and pitch down - blows me away. She's getting great with the alphabet too - singing up to G! And she can now count to 10! She'll also sing along to the wiggles and do all the actions to the songs.

I've noticed she's showing empathy too lately. This cartoon came on one afternoon - not sure what it's called but it was of a dog and a cat that always seem to fight. At one point the cat stole the dog's toy duckie and so the dog got angry and started chasing the cat. Kayla was so worried for the cat - she just started panicing saying "Ohhh Nooo!!! Poor Cat!!... Oh Nooo!!" She then came running to me most upset with tears in her eyes - pulling my hand to lead me to the TV as if she wanted me to do something about it. I had to calm her down by telling her "Aw it's alright hunny - the cat is safe." Eventually the cat got away and she was relieved. "It's OK, It's OK" she says. So heart melting!

She's also showing a lot of talent now too. This month she has been very much into painting - she loves to paint and she is a great little artist too! All I have to do is set her up in a room with a blank canvas and some paint and paintbrushes and she is happy as Larry! She would do it all day if I left her to it. And I adore her paintings so much I proudly hang them in her playroom and she is so proud of herself - she likes to lead visitors to show them her paintings too.

This Month we went to my friend Emma's baby shower where Kayla got to meet her new little friend Scarlett - daughter of my friend Alex. They were very cute together and Kayla certainly made everyone know she was there with her loud and bubbly HERE I AM personality hehe.

NINETEEN MONTHS OLD!

What a Big Girl!!

Well in the month before she was pretty full on and a bit of a terror! But thankfully by this month she had really calmed down. Well not so much calmed down - she's still as active and full of energy like she was before but at least now she uses her energy in a much more positive way! Instead of the hitting and biting like she was doing last month - I've been keeping her as busy as I can which has seemed to work. I think her violent outbursts were just out of boredom or something - because as long as I can keep her entertained she is as sweet as an angel! lol

And since then she has been WONDERFUL! Mummy's little helper! I figured it was about time to let her help me out with ádult duties' around the house, since she is just so persistent - usually I would set some activity's up in her playroom while I try to get stuff done, but she would usually demand for my attention and just want to be everywhere were I was. It never actually occurred to me at the time that she could be interested in helping me with house duties! I just figured that she would just get in the way and make an even bigger mess - so I never really gave her the chance to be honest. But she has really impressed me and has proven to be very capable of helping me with many things and it totally blows me away! I actually feel quite bad about it because I often just assumed she's far too young to be capable of many things - just like when she started sitting up on her own, I thought surely she wouldn't be ready and didn't bother to let her try - but sure enough just by accident one day I realised she could! I believe that she probably would have had quite a few milestones earlier if I just encouraged her more, but I've certainly learnt my lesson now and I am still learning because she is my first - it just blows my mind at how smart these little human beings actually are! I guess I just forget that she does grow and will not be a baby forever. lol I just wish I encouraged her more, sooner.

So since I came to this realisation she is a totally different child! I've stopped treating her like my precious little baby that needs help with everything and started letting her do things for herself. Because of that - she just seems so appreciative now that I am letting her become the "big girl" that she clearly wants to be and is just so much happier too. Not just her but myself as well - for too long I was making it tough on myself - feeling like I couldn't get anything done because she just needed my full attention to do 'baby things' with her - when in actual fact - all she wanted was to do ádult things' with me! So this way I have been able to not only get duties done around the house - but I get a little helper as well, and get to spend quality time with her - and more importantly - having her help actually makes housework fun!! It's just fantastic!!

She helps me tidy up by putting all her toys in the toybox, and rubbish in the bin. If she spills something on the floor she will actually head to the kitchen to reach for a cloth to clean it up! She loves to gather up the laundry and put them in the washing machine for me, and she'll pass them to me to hang up to dry. Then when the clothes are dry I'll take them down and pass them to her and she'll happily put them into the washing basket for me. She'll even help me prepare her meals for her too - though she's still not very good at making sandwiches yet (*giggles*) she loves to thread her chopped up fruit onto a paddle pop stick! She will even help herself to the fridge now and get herself a yoghurt or popper if I give her permission to. They are just a few of many things that she does, I am just so blown away by how clever and capable she really is. *sigh* Our baby sure is growing up!

She already has her first chore which is feeding the cats! I don't know how she does it but spot on the dot at around 6pm everyday she will head into the kitchen, open the pantry, grab out a can of cat food and box of biscuits then head out the door to feed them! Daddy has to open the can for her of course but she will pour the food in and wont spill a drop! Man she amazes us! We would probably forget to feed the cats ourselves if it wasn't for her! ha!

And the way she understands us too is quite amazing - I just talk to her normally now as if I'm talking to Dan or anyone who can understand English (lol) and she will respond with full understanding almost every time! Like before I also often assumed that if she does not use certain words then she probably wouldn't understand them - or like sentences, since she doesn't speak in sentences like we do - how would she know what we were saying? But that's rubbish really isn't it! I mean obviously that is how they learn - it's just something that is hard to get my head around because the rate that babies/children learn is really quite incredible to me.

Earlier today I just randomly asked her to close our bedroom door... did I actually think she would understand that? Hell no!.... BUT SHE DID! =O She instantly responded by walking up to our bedroom door reached for the handle... and CLOSED IT! Is it weird that I am totally amazed by that? Seriously? I don't ever remember teaching her the words 'Door' or 'Close' let alone the meanings and using them in a sentence! The other night I pointed to a towel laying on the lounge room floor and asked Dan to pass it to me... before he even had the chance Bubette was already on the job! She ran to the towel, picked it up and handed it to me! And many other things too - like changing the channel or turning the telly off when I ask her to. I really don't give her enough credit for how smart she actually is.

She also wipes her own face, tries to dress herself and lets me know when she needs a nappy change by pointing to her bum and saying "Yacky poo poo's!"hehe. She brushes her own hair (and even brushes my hair too) and tells me "Öoohhh Pretty!" when I get dressed up. She can count to 6 now and is getting better with her alphabet and she is finally talking on the phone now to people on the other line! Before she would pick up the phone and would blab away to no one, but the minute there was someone on the other line she would go silent every time. But now she will yap away in her own little babble language with the hand mannerisms and everything. It's so funny - and she throws in occasional English words like "Hello!! *herownlanguagebabble* Awww OK... *herownlanguagebabble*... Ohh yeah?? *herownlanguagebabble* A,B,C,1,2,3 .... OK Bubye"

She especially loves to talk to her Nanny and Poppy on the phone lately - in fact she even learnt that by pushing a certain button (the button with my parents stored number!) she can call Nanny and Poppy! I was in the kitchen preparing lunch one afternoon when I walked out to find the little Miss yapping away on the phone. I thought she was just pretending but after a while I thought I'd better make sure she didn't accidentally ring someone. So I took it off her and listened on the line to find Nanny talking back to her!! It was too cute to be mad at her, but she cottoned on quickly and remembered the exact button to press and did it again that same night while I was cooking dinner this time - and this time Poppy answered! haha So I've really got to keep the phone out of reach when she's unattended. lol

When she is not helping me around the house - (or calling Nanny and Poppy) she is playing Mummy to her own baby dolls. She cuddles and kisses them, wipes their bums (haha) shares her bottle with them, reads to them and rocks them to sleep. She will not sleep without them now and we are hoping that they will replace the comfort of her bottle soon (which she still hasn't quite given up yet!)

Dan has been taking her to the park down the road lately which she really looks forward to. But as soon as poor Dan walks through the door home from work - Kayla grabs his hand and leads him right back out the door to take her to the park hehe! He doesn't mind though - he does enjoy it - he takes the soccer ball and they play kick together. It's so cute - she actually kicks the ball really well - Great Grandad Iain and Grandad John would be very proud!! She even say's "Kick a ball" now which was Dan's first words as a baby - only she says it like a kiwi "Kuck a ball" HAHA!

But at least she leads Dan to take her to the park and not just take off without him like she does to me! A few weeks ago I had just had a bath with her and just as we stepped out Kayla decided to sprint for the front door (the latch wasn't shut properly so it was open) and head to the park! Imagine this chubby naked baby running down the road with a mad woman in a towel frantically chasing after her!... Yeah - not fun at all, but I'm sure it gave the neighbours a good laugh! I now make sure the screen door is shut securely! lol

This month was a very special month for our family - it seemed like such a long lead up to it but the day finally came for my Brothers Wedding! YaY!

Congratulations Danial and Evelyn - it was a beautiful ceremony!

Kayla was certainly the life of the party at the reception! That little Miss can party harder than the rest of us! I was actually very worried that she might be a handful on the day and interrupt the ceremony or speeches or something by being restless. But she did amazingly well! Especially at the reception - all she wanted to do was dance her little heart out on the dance floor. And dance she did - all night long right up until the end of the night! She would stop for little 5 minute breaks walking over to Nanny and resting her little head on her lap, then she'd let out a sigh and go straight back to the dance floor and boogie away again! I think she won the hearts of many people that night - everyone seemed to adore her. She has such great rhythm too - dancing slowly and swaying to slow songs to getting down and shaking her booty to the upbeat music! She was a laugh and a half and we couldn't have asked for a better daughter! It was great to catch up with the rest of the Garrett / McCallum family too!

Speaking of dancing - another little thing I want to mention that Kayla loves to do - She knows how to turn the stereo on in the kitchen and so often she will head up to the stereo - turn it on, find a song she likes, blasts the volume and shakes her booty! It is so very adorable!

She is such a little comedian so full of life and personality and she LOVES to laugh and make others laugh too. We are very proud of our growing Bubette! <3

EIGHTEEN MONTHS OLD!

Well this is the most far behind I have been so far! With being busy with wedding and family stuff and also because my naughty computer is just so ridiculously slow at uploading photo's it's depressing!

But - the posts must go on and I shall do my best at trying to remember all the goss on Bubette in the last 2 months! (Separating them into two posts.)

In her 17th Month she had pretty much hit her terrible 2's early!

Challenging our authority and testing the boundaries by demanding and throwing tantrums when ever she wanted to get her hands on something she wasn't allowed. She's reached that age where she feels like she is old enough to do all the grown up things that we do - more so the dangerous things like handling sharp knives to cut her own fruit etc. She has this obsession with knives lately - always trying to get her hands on one! I don't know why - most likely because of the simple fact that she know's she is not allowed it! lol She was very hyperactive in this month too - just really full on and hard to keep up with, but that's not such a bad thing because it's great that she's active - just very exhausting. But she would get in silly moods and would sometimes bite, scratch, pinch, hit, pull my hair and throw heavy objects at Mummy's head - which I didn't find very fun at all! What worried me more was that she did it for fun more-so than out of frustration, because she would giggle and find it so hilarious when I was clearly in pain from one of her attacks - it could be quite frightening!

It was kind of funny sometimes though - because if she'd make me cry, she'd hug me and pat me on the back and say "awww you're alright... you're alright" which is what we do to her when she bumps herself or trips or something. So I had to wonder if she would try to get these painful reactions out of us just so she could comfort us like we do to her! (If that makes sense.) haha cheeky thing! At least she is capable of being sympathetic anyway! lol

She finally started calling me MUMMY!! (Not Dada anymore!!) So that has been really exciting for me! Plus she is calling many people by their names now - one name she often likes to say is "Jacquie" referring to her Aunty Jacquie of course - when ever she see's photo's of her or just anyone with long red hair! lol

Her vocabulary improves by the day and she is pretty much learning at least one new word per day now - she is a very fast learner! She's finally saying "cat" now instead of every cat being "Bart" as well as many other animal names followed with the sounds each animal makes. (Like Dog - Woof Woof.)

Nanny and Poppy took her to the show this month which she really enjoyed. A few night's before hand when Kayla spent the night at my parents house - Nanny was laying down with Kayla in the dark before bed time and instead of reading her a story - she spoke to Kayla about going to the show soon. This is how the conversation went...

Nanny: Nanny and Poppy will be taking you to the show soon, shall we go to the petting zoo and feed some baby animals?
Kayla: Yeah?
Nanny: What animals should we feed? Shall we feed the lambs?
Kayla: Yeah?
Nanny: Shall we feed the duckies?
Kayla: Yeah?
Nanny: What about the chickens?
Kayla: Yum Yum!!

*giggles* She sure loves her chicken that girl!!

She ended up really enjoying herself at the show and loved feeding the lambs! Apparently she giggled a lot when the lamb fed out of her hand - wish I could have been there to see it! She also loved putting the balls in the clowns mouths to win little prizes, in fact even now she still mimics the clowns by opening her mouth very wide and slowly moving her head back and forth like the clowns do! LOL Silly munchkin! Apparently she LOVED the speedway racing too which surprised me because I thought she'd be scared of the loud fast cars and monster trucks - but instead she cheered them on and yelled "WEEEEEE" each time one would fly past! And she came home with a Yo Gabba Gabba showbag - which she loved! Thanks again Mum, Dad and Granma for taking her for us! xx

She's got a great appetite now and even lets us know exactly what she feels like eating! She especially loves her yoghurt and will demand for some if she's not happy with what she has been given. We'll set her up on her highchair and hand her vegies or something for dinner, she'll take one look and cross her arms and shake her head saying "NO!... Yoghurt!!" Cheeky thing! She's usually pretty good though because she seems to understand when I tell her that she can have some yoghurt afterwards if she eats her dinner! So eventually she will eat it and will be treated with some yoghurt if she is still hungry.

She also asks for Apples, Banana's and Oranges too - her latest favourite is fruit kebabs, chopped up fruit put on a paddle pop stick. I'm just glad she hasn't learnt to say chocolate yet! lol

Ok well a lot more has happened since then so I will save it for the next month post (which I'll be carrying on with right now.) But in the meantime here are the photo's for her 17th Month before I get too confused! hehe...

SEVENTEEN MONTHS OLD!

Well as usual each and every Month just gets better and better! So many more milestones and exciting new memories!

It never seems to slow down, I often wonder if there will ever come a month when I'll have nothing to talk about - because one month fly's by so quickly - but yet she still seems to grow so much every Month! For that reason I am SO glad that I do have this blog to be able to share these memories before I forget them! And it's great to be able to look back at them all too.

Her 17th Month has been very enjoyable actually - because she has begun to use her words to let us know her needs - rather than actions and frustration because she can't explain. Just the basic things like when she is hungry she will say "Num Nums?" either that or "Cheese" or "Biccie" because they are her favourite foods! Haha! She also says "More?" if she is still hungry - which helps a lot because I often worried whether she had eaten enough or not - and when she's had enough she shakes her head and says "No" when I offer her more.

It has been quite cold lately and she is able to tell me now if she is feeling cold which is great! One night she woke in the middle of the night crying, and when I turned on the light - I asked her what was wrong and she looked at me sadly and said "Collld" - it was so cute but heartbreaking at the same time! hehe. Poor thing had kicked her blankets off and obviously wasn't warm enough in her jammies. So I put an extra jumper on her and rugged her back up in her blanket and she went back to sleep happily. I just love that I can understand her needs more!

She also lets us know when she has a pain too by saying "Owww" and pointing to where it hurts. And just in general when it comes to all other things - she does well at understanding just about everything we say to her now and she will respond with either a simple "No" or "Ok" which helps us to know whether she's interested in something or not. Also since being able to understand her - she has far less tantrums too because she no longer gets frustrated from having trouble explaining what she wants. It's fantastic and a total relief! The only downside to it is she likes to say "No" to a lot of things which can get a little annoying! haha!

She has great manners now too lately - learning to say please and Thank-you. Though she can be a little bossy boots sometimes and likes to test our patience! But that's only normal right? One big thing she continues to challenge us on is keeping her bottle! She is addicted to the bloody thing - so much that she cradles her bottle like a baby, kisses and cuddles it and even pushes it around in her toy pram! LOL!! We're really trying to get her to let go of it because she really doesn't need it anymore and she's old enough to have a balanced diet and get her vitamins from foods rather than formula all the time. But she just wont give it up with out a fight! On the up side - she is in an excellent routine at the moment and has definitely cut back on her bottle a lot. We've been slowly increasing her food intake so that she will be satisfied enough to hopefully be too full for the bottle. It's mainly during the night she wants it - she has to sleep with her bottle because it's a comfort thing - but she wont be fooled by water - it has to be formula!! But since she's been eating more (because I've refused to give her the bottle during the day) she hasn't been wanting it as much. In the meantime we give her watered down formula to fix her craving through the night - but not over load her on calories. But we hope to get her off the bottle completely very soon!

Having a routine has been great - she knows what to expect and willingly goes with the flow of our schedule now. She'll even go one step ahead of me and be ready for what's coming next. Such as - when her morning kiddy shows are over and she's had her breakfast - it's her bath time. So as soon as her kiddy show ends - she'll lead ME to the bathroom and lifts her arms for me to undress her to get ready for her bath! hehe! She also willingly lets us dress her - and cooperates to help us do it - she'll even try to dress herself! (But mostly in Mummy's clothing!)

She LOVES to dress up! Aunty JMay bought her a gorgeous purple pettiskirt in NZ which you probably saw photos of in last months post. Well she absolutely ADORES it and always wants to wear it. There is this children's program that comes on in the afternoons that has fairy's all dressed up in tutus - when ever it comes on - she races to her bedroom to search for this skirt and races back to me to put it on her. Then she'll shake her booty and dance along with the fairy's on TV. It's so cute! I must get a video of it for her next post. She loves to twirl too - when ever I put a pretty dress or costume on her she loves it and will twirl around like a princess.

Another show she loves (besides Yo Gabba Gabba) is The Wiggles!! We have a Wiggles Dvd and she constantly asks me to put it on! "Wuggles?" she'll say. She's also getting better at her ABC's and 123's and she can now count to 4 - but she did count to 6 once after hearing a counting song on Yo Gabba Gabba - clever little cookie! And she is really loving drawing at the moment - I've been teaching her to draw a lot lately and she has really impressed me by learning to draw a circle! She'll scribble away but as soon as I say "draw a circle" she concentrates hard and then puts her crayon into a circular motion - it's very impressive!

She also now knows where her nose, eyes, mouth, chin, ears and belly button are - pointing to them when she is asked where they are. hehe

I could go on and on really - but I'd better save some for the next post!! haha

Oh - and we're slowly starting her on potty training now - we know it will take a while and a lot of patience but I was quite impressed that she at least learnt to now say "WEEEEEEEEEEEE" while she squats and wees in her nappy! It's a start I guess. *giggles*
